1. Who collects the information?
Syn-Teck collects information voluntarily submitted through the contact form in order to respond to requests for IT support.
2. Information collected
The form may collect your name, email address, phone number, city or region, preferred contact method, selected type of need and the message describing your situation.
The hosting service may also process technical information needed for the operation and security of the site, such as an IP address, browser type, request date and time, and technical logs.
3. Why is this information used?
- to respond to your request and communicate with you;
- to understand the problem and determine a next step;
- to organize or provide the requested service;
- to maintain the security, reliability and proper operation of the site;
- to comply with applicable legal obligations.
Syn-Teck does not use information from the form for other purposes without your consent, except where permitted or required by law.
4. Consent
By submitting the form, you consent to the use and communication of the information required to process your request. You may withdraw consent for uses that depend on it, subject to applicable legal and contractual obligations.
5. Service providers
Requests are processed using the site hosting service, Microsoft Power Automate and Microsoft 365. These providers process only the information required to provide their services to Syn-Teck, according to their contractual commitments and applicable law.
Some providers may process information outside Quebec. When such communication occurs, Syn-Teck applies the measures required by Quebec legislation.
6. Cookies and measurement tools
The site currently uses no advertising or marketing analytics tools. Strictly necessary cookies may be used by the hosting service or private access mechanism to maintain security and proper operation.
7. Retention and security
Information is retained only for the time needed to process the request, manage the service relationship and comply with applicable obligations. It is then securely destroyed or anonymized where permitted by law.
Syn-Teck applies reasonable security measures according to the nature and sensitivity of the information. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
You may request access to your personal information, correction of that information or, where permitted by law, its deletion. You may also ask a question or file a complaint regarding how it is handled.
